Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are the most amazing students. They love working with each other and learning new things. I enjoy coming into the classroom where my students love to learn and be with each other.
We are an urban school in Nevada.
We are a Title I school where we receive free breakfast and lunch for our students.
Many of our students are English Language Learners. We are a great community where the parents are really involved with the school. The teachers are committed to helping our students achieve their academic goals.
My Project
These books will be an amazing way to teach my students Science and Social Studies through factual stories of amazing human beings. I want then to be able to learn how to write about their own stories and create their own biographies. My students need to know that their are people just like them that they can be and that they can learn about to be no matter who they are.
My students love to learn about other people and their accomplishments.
I hope that with these books that I am able to do this! A little kindness goes a long way!
