My class is a mix of boys and girls with a variety of learning styles and interests. They are eager and ready to learn! We are so pumped up for the new year!
In our small town, over 60% of our students are on free or reduced lunch, so I always want to help wherever I can.
I love creating an inviting classroom for them to come into each day. A place where they can be themselves, a place where I get to introduce new and exciting things, and a place that they can feel at home for the new school year.

My Project
New reading baskets will enable my students to keep our library reading books organized so they are able to grab them quickly and know where to put them back when they are done.
Reading is such an important part of our learning!
I want each student's love of reading to grow.
Organizing our new student resources with book baskets will put huge smiles on each of my students' faces as well as touch their hearts by making our reading experience much easier and organized! I also want to create a calm safe space for reading. This reading rug will do just that. When I read I want to get so comfortable that I forget about everything around me. I believe this rug will help to do just that.
