My Students

I work at a Title I school where more than 75% receive free breakfast and lunch. This year I have been chosen to be the English Language Learner and Exception Students teacher in first grade and have to shake things up a bit. I have a special group of students that have big hearts and minds ready to learn with the given right materials.

My students work so hard to overcome their obstacles every day.

They are becoming true readers, thinkers, mathematicians, ​and explorers. At the age of 6 and 7, they are fascinated by all that they learn. However, they are hindered by their lack of resources both at home and at school.

My Project

These leveled readers are perfect for my first graders! I am very excited about this project because I believe these Early Leveled Reader Book sets would be a game changer for us. These books are on my students' reading levels. Having books on my students' individual level is key when learning to read. These books will grow with my students, as their reading skills grow throughout the year.

My students will be able to check these little readers out of our classroom library.

They will able to book shop and use the leveled readers for classroom independent and buddy reading time. These adorable and hilarious stories will keep my first graders engaged in reading and help them on their path to becoming first grade readers!
