This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My goal is to cultivate the love of reading in my classroom. I want to encourage students to become avid readers who are not only understanding and analyzing grade-level texts but also to enjoying them.

By providing access to quality literature, I hope to foster confidence when reading, critical thinking skills that is a life skill, and overall, instill the love of reading.

The literature books I'm requesting reflect a variety of genres, perspectives, and cultural backgrounds. By reading these books, my students will learn to identify themes, exploring literary techniques, and make personal connections to their own experiences all in a fun and engaging way.
