My Project

Hello! I am on my way to start my own new chapter in my career. I have taught fourth grade reading for the last nine years, but will be moving to second grade next year! I am beyond excited to dig into my love of reading with my new students. Our school is a Title 1 school in a small farming community, so the items I have asked for will help our classroom be organized and display rich literature on their unique reading levels. The area rug will allow my students a comfortable place to sit during their own independent reading time, during our class read aloud, or during our daily phonics instruction.

My goal is to be able to display books that will grab their attention and ignite their imagination.

What better way to dive into the world of reading than being able to choose to read what speaks to your heart? With these items, my students will be able to choose books that interest them within our classroom. Thank you for considering my project, every little bit will make a world of difference!
