This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like my students to have multicultural hand puppets. A Girl Scout, and school alumni, built a puppet theatre for her Silver Award Project and she was kind enough to donate it to our classroom. We have a theatre but no puppets. Although they would be happy with sock puppets, I feel my students deserve more.

My students thrive in our class climate of mutual trust and friendship where our multicultural identities unite us.

They enjoy seeing themselves represented in our classroom. My students want to see themselves in the dolls, toys, and materials they use everyday. The multicultural puppets are the perfect addition that would add to the class camaraderie.
