My Students

Kindergartners are wonderful because they love everything. They are excited to come to school everyday and learn something new. My students love learning and my job is to keep that fire burning.

We live in a rural ranching community in Colorado where more than a third of students come from low-income households.

Our school district does not have the resources to purchase everything my kindergartners need. I want the best for my students and I need your help. Thank you so much for your support!

My Project

After the excitement of #BestSchoolDay, I asked my students what they think we need for our classroom. They had great ideas of things to make our classroom more fun and inviting.

The students decided they would love play food and appliances to make our kitchen more inviting.

We were blessed to have had a new play kitchen donated for our dramatic play center earlier this year. We need new food and appliances to turn our dramatic play center into a grocery store and restaurant. These manipulatives will allow the students to use their imagination and learn through play.

The students will be able to use the cash register in our dramatic play center to pay their bills. It is important to teach kindergartners financial literacy. They will learn thorough make believe.

Kindergarten is hard work. I try to make learning as much fun as possible. Thank you for making my students' dreams come true.
