Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our Student Council has been doing an amazing job this school year. Our school has not had a council for years, this year is the first year we have it. The kids have done an amazing job and bringing school spirit and creating fun and new events throughout the year.
The final event that they have planned is to have a 6th grade kickball tournament right before summer vacation.
The students will make up various teams to promote health, exercising and being active over the summer. We need shirts and baseball hats so that the teams are uniformed. We would like flags that will be decorated with the school name and mascot to help bring school spirit. The balloons and backdrop will be used to decorate the event and make it look more exciting. the Gatorade will be used the day of the event so that our athletes remain hydrated. The medals will be given to all who participate so that they are reminded to be active.
This will be our first annual kickball tournament. The event will help promote health by being active and remind kids to be active all summer long. The event will also promote team sports, so that the 6th graders can get involved in team sports when they are eligible next year.
