My Students

My students are an enthusiastic yet diverse group of readers. Some of my little friends are reading above the third grade level, yet some cannot read the word "the" consistently. Despite our differences, we are a STRONG TEAM!

Our school is becoming more diverse each year.

Students are excited to learn and often have parent support at home. All teachers in my school are dedicated to helping their students reach their full potential. Families are also a vital component of our community. We all know it takes a village.

My Project

I am requesting the table, chart stand, magnetic hooks, storage box, and other materials to make the most of our small classroom space. As a small suburb of a large city, our student numbers have been climbing steadily each year. We do not have the capacity to teach all of the students assigned to our school, yet we manage. I am looking to acquire resources to better utilize our small space, and I am willing to give up my desk in exchange for this "U" table, in addition to the anchor chart stand. Students will then be able to learn at an additional table in our room during small reading groups instead of on the floor.

This donation would make a huge difference by making a more comfortable classroom space and providing a better space for student learning.

Students should receive reading instruction at a table and not the floor. I have no doubt this project would make a huge impact on many students for years to come.
