it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am currently teaching Kindergarten at a Title 1 school. I have 24 students in my class. I am excited to start the school year by providing my students with the opportunity to learn in a welcoming environment. Teaching Kindergarten is the most rewarding job. Each day we spend time exploring ourselves through art and play all while learning how to be little people in a big world. Our block for physical education is the perfect time for children to move their bodies all while developing their fine and gross motor skills. Having the appropriate equipment will encourage the children to be excited to play and learn.
My Project
With these materials my students will be able to develop their gross and fine motor skills all while moving. For a five year old, movement is key to staying focused. Physical education is such an important time of our day and what better way to stay healthy than to have fun and play. With the playground balls the children can practice their hand eye coordination when bouncing as well as self control. With the hula hoops the children will be practicing balance, stamina, and core development. Not only will the children grow physically but social skills call also be developed through team work and positive encouragement.
