Just a Few Things to Help

Help me give my students my full attention and release me from the tiny box of my laptop camera. With a pen scanner, I can easily scan and share material from the many print resources I have.

My Students

Students here represent a wide variety of cultures, ethnic groups, orientations, religions, and genders. The entire campus has over 600 students from various neighborhoods.

Distance learning is difficult for many students and staff, and paying attention with busy family members and such makes it even more difficult.

Our middle school has many academic programs to choose from that helps students with academic, leadership, and growth mindset skills. Students are continuously looking for ways to break away from the norms, to learn and experience new things.

What I love most about offering students these resources is to see how motivated they are to learn and complete projects.

My Project

Students are working so hard right now with distance learning. And there are so many things we have to compromise, but these items will help me help my students and allow me to share with my students more easily.

First, the webcam allows me to stand back from the camera and still have access to my laptop.

The camera installed gives students a clear image from below and right up the nostrils! No one wants to see that. With a webcam, I can move back and still have my tablet to control online feedback and chat discussions. The scanner will serve a similar function and that's about sharing material with students immediately. I've got lots of print material to share, and it's easy in the classroom with a doc cam, but at home who has the space? A pen is easy and more affordable.
