Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from diverse backgrounds. Our school has the greatest ethnic diversity of all the schools in the state. We also have the largest high school in the state. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. The school cannot supply all students with even the simplest items like folders and tissues, and many students do not have the home budget, either.

Like all kids, they enjoy learning most when they are actively engaged.

Having their immediate needs in class (for items like pencils and highlighters, post its...all the small things that help them engage in the materials) met leaves them better able to attend to their work! Add a fun activity to that and you have a recipe for success.
