Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students attend a Title I community school in the Southwest, where students are valued and celebrated in every classroom, but once they step out of the safe boundaries of the school, they are often underrepresented in society because of their demographics.

100% of my students qualify for free breakfast and lunch, and 100% of them have great potential!

My students come to school daily, where they are fed through words and nutrients, but leave to temporary shelters due to high mobility.

My Project

This project is a just a request for some thematic books for student read alouds as we continue with virtual learning!

Right now, my kindergarten students are learning remote and these books will be used during the upcoming weeks to begin our learning week!

I am requesting children's books about the seasons and how you can hear snow and Reindeer Express, books based on the ethnic cultures reflective of our classroom, books about shapes and colors from around the world and finally, books about famous women in the science and math field.
