it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a great group of 4th graders who are determined to be the best they can be! We have an incredibly diverse group with a large range of abilities. My students love going to our classroom library and finding new books to read or picking up a familiar favorite. They are always asking to keep a book for an extended period so they can continue to read it over and over. When teaching my students to read, it is so important to have a wide variety of book sets that can cover a multitude of skills to become stronger readers.
The best way for students to grow as readers is for them to read more.
All of the books I have chosen were picked with my students interests, lives, and abilities in mind. Having a wide range of genres and book levels means every student has the opportunity to find books they can find their love of reading with.
