My students come from a low-income, high poverty, and high crime area. Those facts are real, but they do not dampen the spirit of learning and hope. The students are striving to break the cycle of underachievement.

Cardiovascular endurance is a primary goal of physical education. Jumping rope is a great way to engage in cardiovascular training. It is very simple to teach and learn. But jumping rope is also extremely fun.
The combination of simple of fun is a grand slam in physical education.
When it is simple, students can learn it quickly. When it is fun, students want to engage. That is why this proposal is so vitally important.
Additionally, with 27 jump-ropes each student will have an individual piece of equipment. This is important because when each student has a piece of equipment, discipline issues become fewer.
