My Project

For many of my students, the only library they will ever visit is the school library. Every week I try to expose my students to new literature and to hopefully develop a love of reading via the traditional story time.

Unfortunately, I do not have enough books in the Pete the Cat series or Junie B.

Jones series to keep my students satisfied. The books from each series are quickly snatched from the shelving cart, ready to be enjoyed by another eager reader! Pete also deals with problems in a positive manner, helping my students see good examples social emotional skills.

With shrinking school budgets, often books for the media center are a low priority when basic school supplies are needed.

I've asked for library binding or hard cover binding for these books so students for many years to come can enjoy and use these resources. With your help, my student will be ready and eager to reach their reading goals!
