My Project
Juneteenth is known as the longest running African American holiday! Our students need to not only learn about this history but teach others! These shirts will help us celebrate important holiday! Many may not understand why it is often referred to as "America's second Independence Day" that marks the end of slavery. This gives our African American Student Union members a chance to share this knowledge.
These shirts celebrating Juneteenth will help to spread community awareness, foster an environment of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, and allow our students to truly engage in meaningful conversations about the influence of Black History on America.
