This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on. Franklin D. Roosevelt
I teach Physical Education in a high poverty inner city public school in Indiana.
Our school has almost 600 students, K-6, who love Physical Education! I see every student twice a week. We rarely go outside to play, and I want to teach the students how to exercise inside. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they could then go home and teach their families what they've learned? By doing this, the entire family will be exercising together, and everyone would be in shape!
My Project
We need adjustable jump ropes so the students don't spend so much time looking for the right size. We have several different sizes but sometimes don't have enough of the size we need. Having the adjustable sizes everyone will be happy and not spend part of their class time searching for the right rope. We also need a safe place to store them with a jump rope cart. This will keep them nice and neat and not all over the floor or getting all in knots.
Donations to this project will help over 600 students in my school.
With your help we can have our students improve their basketball skills, jump rope skills and work their whole body with the pushball. Students will benefit from being able to work on their shooting accuracy with the right size ball. The pushball will give the body a total workout while having fun. The rack for the ropes will allow us to save class time. Thank you for considering our project!
