Hi there!! I am a physical education and health teacher at MS 399 in the Bronx, New York City. I am a second year teacher in an EXTREMELY high needs school (We are SURR and SINI). Because such emphasis is placed on academics, my program suffers from lack of funding. The students at 399 are amazing and have great passion for athletics. These kids LOVE TO JUMP....and let me tell you THEY NEED IT!! We have a huge percentage of dangerously obese and overweight students. With these jump ropes, students will receive desperately needed cardiovascular exercise. I do the best I can, buying telephone cable and cords at the dollar store and although they are appreciative, they do NOT appreciate the welts and bruises from the snap of the cords. :) I want SO much for these kids. I want them to have the same opportunities as other kids their age. I want them to be able to compete in NYC jump rope competitions, and win! My school, my classes and the students would appreciate and benefit physically from having jump ropes as a part of our physical education program. It would make a huge impact on our 800 students here at MS 399!! Do you have room for all the thank you cards????
