Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 24 students in my class, and we are a very lively class who love to learn. I try to give them as much hands-on learning as I can. We are coming to a close on our school year, but I have been working with the children that are coming to me next year and they are just as fired up as this year's.
We are a school that has children who want to learn but sometimes can only conquer this when they are here at school.
I like to give them as much as I can through hands-on learning and experiencing what actually happens, and we don't have the newest of books for children that have the words that they need to know to help them read and learn as they are reading.
My Project
The books about chickens will help us learn with the chicken life cycle unit that we already do in the class using a past project's materials. The other books will be read to help the children learn their sight words and get better at reading at the same time. The book case will be a great place to hold all of the wonderful books. And lastly the CD/DVD reader will help us to continue to have review games and other materials used with the tablets that we are using at our school now. All of these materials are just another great way to help the children continue to learn and stay up with the technology from the outside world.
The children will be very happy to also have things that keep their learning connected to the world that they live in when they aren't at school.
