Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students in this 3rd-grade class love to listen to educational songs while working and having lunch outside—currently, our school struggles with chronic absenteeism.

One way we have tried addressing the issue of absenteeism in class is by using music to help students engage with and retain the material in order to apply it down the line.

We love to incorporate music everywhere we go, but we have a small speaker that barely does the job and would love to upgrade to a higher-quality speaker!

Our students have Physical Education only once a week, but the CDC suggests that children require around 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity each day. We want to offer new opportunities to our students with equipment they can use throughout the week. Donations to our project will help keep our students motivated and having fun all while keeping them active.
