Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school were a majority of my students receive free or reduced lunch, breakfast and supper. 100% of my students are Hispanic.

Many of my students come from a single family home but they are always eager to come to school everyday to learn.

My Project

We survived the pandemic and we are getting ready for the new school year.

During the holidays, my students and I are recharging and getting ready to

come back to school to continue learning, to have fun, and be safe at school.

My students will use the jump ropes to help them develop their motor skills, and to play by having fun during outdoor activities.

We will also use the jump ropes and the exercise equipment outside on the yard

to motivated students to exercise, counting and movements to become lifelong learners.

I trying to build outdoor baskets with exercise items and props for each students to use outside. Because sharing equipment is difficult at this time due to the pandemic, I am trying to protect my students by providing these jump ropes and equipment to use during outside activities, and at the same time the students can have fun. These jump ropes can be used year after year.

I am hopeful that we will return to some type of normalcy in the coming months, and jump ropes will encourage the students to love exercising, have fun, and feel safe.
