The Tigers cheerleading squad is a competitive, sideline cheerleading team consisting of 25 athletes. The squad works hard consistently at basketball games, competition and being role models at our middle school. These athletes show dedication and perseverance to be the best athletes they can be. They work hard to be positive peers in the school community and strive to keep a fun and motivating school climate and culture.
The team is made up of fun, hardworking, charismatic and dedicated cheerleaders who want to be the best they can be.
The girls have shown throughout our last season that they are willing to put in the work to produce amazing products. The squad is made up of a diverse background of athletes who all have the same goal! "It's not about being the best. It's about being better than you were yesterday!"
Using cheer mats will ensure a safe practice environment for hardworking athletes. Having a safe environment is essential for cheerleaders to practice stunts and tumbling in order to avoid devastating injuries. Injuries of catastrophic magnitudes happen all too often in cheerleading. The mats will help with safety, but will also benefit athletes by improving their tumbling and stunting skills.
Student-athletes will also gain confidence overall as well as in the sport.
Mastering the main components of the sport jumps, tumbling and stunting will allow the squad to go to competitions with their heads held high. Cheerleaders will not have to worry about short practices we had to where borrowed mats were available, when the equipment will be readily available.
