Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Have you ever walked into a classroom and felt that fun energy? I guarantee that if you walked into our classroom you would immediately begin to smile and feel the energy. You will see twelve boys and ten girls eager to learn. All twenty-two of them are in their sixth grade journey together. They are learning to understand that the world can be a better place if we all just help and respect one another. They love to work with each other instead of individually, so you will find the classroom a bit louder than others. I guarantee you learning is taking place just in a higher volume. Welcome to our room where we are one team created by twenty-two students and one teacher.
My Project
My students all live in a low socioeconomic area where food on the table is not taken for granted. I want to ensure that my students are properly fed so that they can be well focused. Academic success relies on students being nutritionally well balanced.
"I'm hungry" is a comment I hear through out my day, why not have a simple solution with your donation.
Donations will help my students not only meet their nutritional needs, but also continue to move forward to tackle their academic goals.
The snacks will be given to my students on those long days where "I'm hungry" is fogging their brain from moving forward to learn. Thank you for helping my students satisfy their hunger and redirect their attention to learning.
