This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from a low-income area at a high-priority school. Almost all of my students come from minority backgrounds and are mainly Latino. They are a bright, kind group of kids who love P.E. and love to have fun while learning.
Studies have shown that having high-quality physical education improves student outcomes and cognitive performance.
With the supplies that I currently have, I am not always able to include all of my students in the physical education that they deserve. Having a class set of jump-ropes will help me to engage all of my learners during our P.E. time, and will make sure no one gets left out.
