Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Students move every 55 minutes for Science and it is quite difficult to teach 100 plus students without the resources at hand. I'm hoping by the end of the year my students will exceed their goals in Science and Reading. "Never Give Up." Tiffany McMill. I will use every resource possible to teach.

We are a title one school with 80% free lunch.

Our students are ready each day to learn something innovative that will help them reach all of their goals. Although we have 80% who eat free lunch, they exceed in Reading but struggle in Math. We are using some computers to help motivate our students in those precise areas. However, we need more computers in order to help our students meet every goal in Science and Math.

My Project

During Science Lessons, students use the internet to research topic questions for the group. When students are in their groups, they partner with others and answer questions about the Plant Kingdom and Animal Kingdom for example. The book in hand provides a limited amount of information for my students to use during discussions.

I only have 3 computers in the room, however, only one is working.

With your donation, we are a step in the right direction for my students to reach their goals in Science, Math, and Reading.
