This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My young preschoolers with varying abilities love to explore books. They enjoy engaging stories with colorful illustrations and interactive stories that invite them to move and sing along. Many of the books for this project are based on songs, and my children love to listen to, move to, and sing along to familiar songs and nursery rhymes.
These indestructible books will allow my young learners to engage with stories using all of their senses.
They will be durable as they are chew-proof and tear-proof. The felt story-telling board and felt pieces will allow my students to explore stories in a tactile way. These new materials will provide opportunities for retelling and sequencing stories. I can't wait to see my students' excitement as they explore their new books and storytelling materials.
