My Project
The students at my school are always eager and willing to learn. They are curious, hardworking, and kind-hearted. They come from diverse backgrounds and different socioeconomic statuses. Replenishing the PE equipment for my classes will generate excitement, increase learning, improve confidence and result in a healthier school community. New PE equipment will help students to get excited about getting active, improve physical and mental health as well as learn to cooperate with others. Due to limited amounts of equipment and large class sizes, students often have to wait their turn to participate. With more equipment, students will be to have their own ball or jump rope to practice their skills and improve their coordination. Making sure students have plenty of resources is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed an amazing difference in my classes when students have the opportunity to increase their playing time. Students are more engaged, positive, and friendly and behavior issues dramatically decrease. The products that I have chosen will help all students to get active during the class period without standing around waiting for the equipment. The increased number of basketballs, footballs and jump ropes will allow all students to stay active during class. I have seen how participation and engagement can positively affect my students' excitement, attitude, and ability.
