JROTC Future Leaders

My students need a new computer, mounted projector, and a color printer to veiw and print daily lessons. Currently I have an HP 6730b computer without a working battery.

My Students

Every morning we start our day with the JROTC creed, Pledge of Allegiance, and a motivational quote of the day. We quickly move into our lesson. Every lesson I teach (facilitate) prepare our young students to be leaders and productive citizens.

My students are our future leaders.

They aspire to be the best they can possibly be. While I facilitate our class lesson, my students are the ones who run the JROTC program. Most people believe JROTC train children to be soldiers. This is a misconception and an outdated theory. I assist my students in continuing school and moving on to college. If they chose to join the military or technical college, I assit them in doing so. I work closely with the graduation coach as well as the college and career coach and the school counselors. When my sttudents graduate from the JROTC program they have a better self confidence and the are more outgoing and focused.

My Project

Currently I am not considered a core teacher (one who teaches math, reading etc) therefor I am not authorized to use the newest and lastest technology. I have old computers, no prometheum boards and a projector that is not mounted. My students will benifit from the updated equipment as it will bring us to the same technology level as all of the other teachers.

When I receive the technology my students will be able to print their projects in color and veiw other documents they complete.

They can feel that JROTC is as important as any other the classes in the school.
