Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One of my greatest joys as a teacher is watching my students learn and grow. The 100x–2000x microscope will allow them to see the world through an entirely new lens. With prepared slides included, students will explore the microscopic world and make real-world connections to our science standards. The Mr. Pen double-line outline markers will be used to decorate and enhance their science and math projects, adding creativity and motivation to their learning.

Our class is a wonderful group of students at a Title I school, where many families face financial challenges.

Providing engaging, hands-on learning tools helps ensure all students have access to meaningful educational experiences.

My students are especially excited about learning math, and this project will help bring math to life while making science exciting and interactive. The materials will support instruction in algebraic expressions and key science standards in ways that are engaging and memorable.

The 11-inch human body model will give students a hands-on way to study human anatomy and better understand how body systems work together. The Torlam fraction manipulatives, which include circles, decimals, and percentages, will give students concrete tools to build their understanding of important math concepts. Using manipulatives makes learning more interactive and helps students truly grasp abstract ideas.

These resources will make math and science more exciting and accessible for my students. We truly love learning math in our classroom!

The Lysol disinfecting wipes are also an essential part of keeping our classroom healthy. With 25 students sharing materials and spaces, we work hard to keep desks, tables, and chairs clean. These wipes help us maintain a safe learning environment. Students will even examine samples under the microscope to better understand germs and the importance of hygiene—connecting science learning to real life.

These materials will foster creativity, increase engagement, and help make school a place where students feel happy, curious, and excited to learn.
