Journey to the Center of Health: Active Minds Activity Center
Help me give my students a mobile dry erase board on wheels, dry-erase markers, and dry-erase erasers to help with their small group discussion and presentation in Health Education, especially in the Mental/Emotional Health Unit.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am teaching Health Education to Sophomores. My Classes are a combination of General Ed. Students and Diverse Learners. I am also teaching Sheltered Health Classes (with English Language Learners)
This project will facilitate hands-on learning experiences and will support collaborative project-based learning through small group discussions.
The materials/equipment can help my students create mind maps, diagrams, charts, graphic organizers, and concept maps. It is an environmentally sustainable alternative to disposable chart paper.
This will help increase engagement, enhance creativity, improve comprehension, and develop effective communication among my students.
