Help me give my students a safe space to write about their life and their feelings!

My Project

Last year I started each writing day out with a journal prompt. This helped set the tone for the room in terms of writing.

Students became centered and focused on the space around them through their journals.

One of their most favorite things we did, was make the journals our own. When they took out the journal they were reminded of the things that brought them joy and happiness.

I would love for my next students to be able to do the same thing. The journals are a safe space for them to write their feelings and emotions. They will begin by decorating their journals with stickers, pictures, writing, ect. Once we have created a safe space to write students will be ready to learn the importance of writing!
