My Project
My students enjoy learning. They always look forward to learning new skills and practicing them in fun and engaging ways. However, I am always looking for ways to provide daily practice of already taught skills along with new skills.
These daily journals are the perfect way to continually revisit taught skills and practice them in a user-friendly way!
Writing is a daily center in my classroom, and it would be much more effective if students could take out their writing journals and begin the prompt. We typically do math for our morning work in the class, so math journals would be a great way to implement that into the time frame that we have. I added 1st and 2nd grade math so that I can differentiate among the skill levels of students. Last, the reading comprehension journals could be used in small group or whole group to practice those crucial comprehension skills that they will be tested on at the end of the year.
