This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 2nd-grade bilingual students in a Title 1 school in Houston, Texas.

I am a teacher in a low-income/ high poverty school district, where my scholars are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom on a regular school year, right now I want to be able to provide them with some of the necessary tools to continue with distance learning.

My Project

My scholars are in need of journals and writing supplies to help them record their emotions and activities during this pandemic. Along with that, I have requested some stress relief items such as playdoh and stress balls. I have requested some stickers and incentives to bring a smile to their faces.

I know that once the students get these supplies it will help them generate more writing now that we are working through distance learning.
