Journal Arts & Crafts

My students need early childhood journals to create illustrations and practice writing. They need the art and craft supplies to make hands on projects to go with the letter we are focusing on.

My Students

I teach pre-Kindergarten in two schools. The pre-K program in my district comprises of low income families. My goal is to provide quality hands-on education, project based learning, and a variety of educational workstations to enhance their learning.

I grew up in this district and I want to give back to the community that gave me a chance to excel.

I strive to build genuine relationships with all of my students in hopes to make a small difference. Teaching is what I love and I hope to give my students the best experiences.

My Project

We make a lot of things in pre-kindergarten. The more options my students have to create hands-on projects to match the letter or concept we are learning on. We are in need of the early childhood journals to provide a space to draw and a space to write. These cannot be found at most stores and are not on our school supply list.

The arts & craft materials are going to be used to make art that is related to the letter or concept we are working on.

We use the paint dabbers and bingo markers to make patterns and to dot letters, shapes, and numbers.

The students in my class are low-income and do not get to use many of these resources at home. This is a great opportunity to allow them to experience art firsthand.
