Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These materials will be raffled off to the graduating seniors at my high school, a group of students who have dedicated themselves to working tirelessly toward gaining admission to their dream schools. They have faced numerous challenges, but their perseverance has led them to opportunities that will shape their futures. Among these students are those who will be attending prestigious four-year universities, others who will begin their journeys at community colleges, some who have chosen to pursue trade programs, and a number who are preparing to enter the workforce.
What makes these students even more remarkable is that the majority of them are first-generation college students and come from low-income backgrounds, which adds to the difficulty of achieving their academic and professional goals.
For many of them, the financial barriers they face are significant, and these donations provide them with the kind of support that can truly make a difference. These gifts don’t just represent materials; they are a tangible reminder that their hard work has been recognized and that there are people who believe in their potential.
