Help me give my students need more Ukuleles to expand our inclusive Ukulele Club.
Our school has a population of about 750 students with 21% being students with special needs. I have spent many years working with students with special needs and strive hard to create every opportunity for all students to succeed every single day.
My students walk into the classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited to participate in all learning opportunities that take place in our school's community.
The staff at our school takes every opportunity to partner with their parents and members of our community to give them as many fulfilling educational experiences as possible. These are very special students who want to learn, and they deserve every advantage they can be given.
Providing Ukuleles for my students will allow them to be more focused and motivated learners through music. I have requested fourteen Ukuleles for my students to have the option of learning through music. By adding these to my classroom, our students will have a variety of ways to learn and having an outlet to be excited about each day. Research shows that allowing students to learn through play will allow them to become more successful in life and be willing to engage more in school. My goal is to teach our students that they can do anything! Having Ukuleles in the classroom will allow each student to have the chance to experience the benefits of music as another effective learning tool. My hopes are to teach each one of them a song and let them perform a concert for the school.
