it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 6th and 7th-grade students are making short work of the limited books available in our developing math library. Could you imagine looking for an interesting book, only to find that you have read everything available to you, or that nothing captivates you?
My students are surrounded by hard working people, and they could use the positive message that Jocko Willink speaks about loud and clear.
Students in my classroom often enter the year a few levels behind their expected academic capacity, much like the main character in the Way of the Warrior Kid. My students will unquestionably benefit from exploring the topics of bullying, lack of self-confidence, and the need for developing good habits as exemplified by the life of Jocko Willink.
My Project
Jocko Willink is among the hardest working, most inspiring, and ultimately responsible positive role models on the planet today. He uses his experience as a motivated leader in the kindest way possible - helping others find the inner strength and internal support necessary to overcome common experiences like bullying, bad habits, lack of role models and self-confidence, and academic anxiety.
The Way of the Warrior Kid books can provide an opportunity for my students to completely change their lives for the better.
Your contribution to this project will help spread the positive message to our classroom that through training and hard work we can achieve amazing results. I want to develop student self-confidence and academic boldness, and build a positive community of role models in my math classroom!
