My Project

Jelly Plates and Clay? No way! Those two mediums aren't usually associated with each other...until now! Using underglaze and any tool the students can think of, we can now make our own designs on a slab of clay. Students will be able to hand draw bricks on their jelly plates and then apply it to a slab house, or a delicious looking cake slice and put it on their slab cake piece, or even drawing an original piece and put it on a slab serving tray. The possibilities are endless!

Monoprinting clay slabs is the latest and craziest in the ceramic world!

Students can dabble in the world of printmaking but instead of using rubber, pink erasers or lino they can now use jelly plates and a slab of clay.

Mrs. Mazuran will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 29.
