JCS Chorus Calls for Choir Chairs!

Help me give my students a proper rehearsal space with choir chairs to for sitting properly while singing. My music room has no chairs for students at all. The goal is 40 chairs! Thanks for your help!

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am Demetria Earle, music/choir teacher at JCSl. This is my second year here, and it's looking like there is no place I'd rather teach.

This year, I started a choral program.

JCS Chorus is off to an amazing start, performing for our community, and securing superior ratings at Choral Performance Assessment (formerly Choral Festival). Unfortunately, my students have a nagging, but valid complaint; there are no chairs in the classroom! They are forced to sit on old risers that were donated to me by a very kind retired singer. Although I am grateful, the risers are not made for sitting for extended amounts of time, and they are not feasible for comfortable, productive rehearsal and learning.

Please help me supply 40 chairs for my classroom. I realize this is a HUGE request, but I work in an underserved community, and resources are scarce. I have an amazing group of students that want to perform! Let's make it easier for them to practice!
