This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Welcome to Mrs. Crawford's creative and enthusiastic class! My class consists of over 3 languages, where my students range from North America to South America. We strive to build a classroom community where students feel excited to explore learning and safe to take risks. We are a family of learners who exceed the expectations on the daily, despite relocating from Puerto Rico and other countries that are affected by government turmoil. These scholars are always eager and impressive with their perseverance.

My Project

The bookshelf and cubbies will help me implement more listening comprehension and fluency activities in my classroom. They will also help to teach my students responsibility in keeping these precious materials organized as well as well kept for a lasting impact.

The writing utensils will be used in building word mapping strategies for vocabulary in fictional and nonfictional text.

These exciting materials will foster independence when developing vocabulary lists beyond their level.

The mobile seat cushion station will be versatile during center rotations. It will give students the option to enjoy flexible seating while learning new strategies and skills during whole group and collaborative structures.
