Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My music students are curious about music and love to experiment with their instruments. Their curiosity has led them to jazz, and I want to be able to provide them with materials that they can use to get started.

We are planning to use these materials to start their journey of learning about jazz and how to play stylistically correct.

I am excited to create lessons using these materials for my students. These books will provide exercises and songs that they can play immediately with some rehearsing and coaching. Our goal is to create a Vista Middle School jazz band! In the future, I envision that this jazz band would be our go-to ensemble for school and community performances.
