Our school is located in a rural Texas community. The high school marching band consists of students in grades 8-12. They enjoy performing exciting shows for their school and their community. They take pride in their accomplishments while looking forward to presenting challenging and entertaining performances this upcoming season.
Band instills creativity, musicianship, and unity for our students.
Growing stronger each day, they instill their work ethic by practicing their music and learning to perform on their instrument, developing a fluency for reading musical notation, as well as mentorship and camaraderie among students.
My Project
Our school jazz band program is growing leaps and bounds, but they need sheet music so they may perform different styles of jazz music.
Quality repertoire are essential to teaching students to learn to perform technically as well as musically.
These music selections will provide students with an opportunity to perform new music styles such as rock, blues and jazz standards. Students will be able to perform concerts and participate in festivals and competition to showcase their performance abilities. In addition, the new music will strengthen their current performance skills as well as help each performer reach new heights of performance.
