My Project

Due to the impacts of Covid, students were not able socialize with their peers. Although there are various online games, nothing can replace the excitement of in-person interactions.

Through Japanese board games, I can create an inclusive safe environment for students to strategize, and collaborate while learning the culture of Japan.

Students will get together to learn the rules of the board games. With complexity, students can first work in teams to strategize, before engaging in solo competition. This will build their confidence, and teach the students how to work well in teams. Students will also learn the deep history of these board games, and how it has become popular not only in Japan, but around the world.
