My students need journals, writing prompts, writing centers, and clipboards for writing.

My Students

Most of my students come from high poverty backgrounds. They get free breakfast in the morning and free lunch.

I have 32 students this year that absolutely love to learn, need a lot of attention and nurturing, and benefit from hands-on materials that will keep them engaged and focused.

They come to school with different experiences and a big range of academic abilities. Each child brings something special to the classroom. All of my students just want to be loved and treated with respect.

My Project

First Graders seem to struggle with writing since this is a whole new experience for them. The donations to this project include journals, writing center materials, and clipboards that will allow my first graders to "write the room".

My students will absolutely love to write with these materials.

They will help improve their writing skills and motivate them to want to write more.

We will use these materials everyday and develop excellent writers. I can just see AND hear the excitement as they are working on writing. While having fun, my students will become life-long writers and enjoy sharing with one another what they have written and learned.
