Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of the skills that come to us easily as adults like reading, writing, and adding, are the result of a lot of strenuous work when we were young. My Kindergarten students are in the middle of this important work and take on each challenge with a smile on their faces. After putting in all of this effort they love nothing more than going out to recess to climb on the playground and run around with their friends.

As it gets colder, I would like to make sure that each of my students has a winter coat that can keep them warm and dry when we go out for recess.

This way they can be comfortable and really enjoy this valuable free time. The items in this project are a size up for them so that they can take these jackets with them beyond Kindergarten. I also included two extra jackets to keep in the classroom so that we can lend them to students if they happen to forget theirs. Having these materials available will go a long way in making them feel safe and comfortable in school.
