My Students

My students all love to learn and want to do well because they know math is an important skill. They have a wide range of abilities, but when we were in school, they loved working with socially distant partners to help each other with challenging problems. It is amazing how much they can learn from each other! Many students at my school have parents who are unable to help them with math. I want to provide them with a resource that allows them to practice at their own level and increase their confidence so they can solve any math problem in the future.

My Project

IXL is an online math program that can be used to provide individualized math instruction for all my students. It matches our Minnesota math standards and is easy to use for students and teachers.

Distance learning is challenging for students, but IXL can help them gain valuable math skills even when they are not learning in the classroom.

As a teacher I will be able to assign them practice problems that align with our math curriculum. They will receive immediate feedback on their answers and easy to understand explanations if they need more assistance.
