Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year I have been blessed with a fun group of eager learners. They also happen to be part of a 2nd and 3rd grade combination class. This presents its own unique set of challenges. Even though it is a dual combination class, every child deserves an equitable opportunity to learn.
IXL is the best program to allow each child to have their individual needs met: equity in the classroom.
In a combo each second grader will need to work on math independently at his/her own level while I do small group work with 3rd. I will have the same expectations of the 3rd graders.
With IXL every learner will be able to work at their own level and pace. My students will feel equal and accomplished in this way.
