Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

In my class, we will build a community around what we have in common and our shared experiences. We live in a poverty area and resources used in instruction will benefit students. My students are more engaged when they work with technology. I include lessons in my instruction that students find highly engaging. Consequently, it's my hope that my students are looking forward to being as independent as possible after high school and successful in their job or career choice.

My Project

The use of technology is an essential daily resource in my classroom. I teach a large number of students. Students will be able to focus on instruction and have clarity on what is being spoken. In this digital world, any interaction with technology will increase literacy as well as students' desire to learn. I have seen how technology has positively affected my students' work. It is my hope that the additional resources in my toolbox will help us grow even more! My goal is to prepare my students to understand the digital world in which we live so they are college and career ready.
