My Project

I need age-appropriate flexible seating for my 5th grade class. As a teacher in a low-income, high-poverty school district, my students face challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide my students with creative ways to help them learn and overcome those challenges.

I want to create a safe, loving classroom where everyone has a positive learning atmosphere and an opportunity to learn.

Some of the instant benefits of flexible seating include using up excess energy, increased motivation, and engagement, creating a better oxygen flow to the brain, and improving core strength and overall posture. It's no surprise physical activity is linked to expanded performance, better health, and improved behavior.

Being able to move while sitting down helps many children who normally can't sit still or who have special needs stay seated and focus more on learning and completing their assignments. Having only a few active seating solutions can present a variety of learning opportunities for children. Learning to share, waiting for their turn, and working together to problem solve.
